IIT DELHI RELEASES POLICY FOR THE GRADUATING BATCH, 2020: OFFERS EARLY GRADUATION OPTION
An early graduation policy has been released by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi for the final year students. This policy ensures that due to the lockdown the future plans of the students do not get impacted. No student will need to come to the campus as the early education regulations will take place through an online process. However, the IITs senate ratified the policy and it can be subjected to change as per the COVID-19 situation unravels.
The students who are taking an early graduation option among them one is an audit pass or fail while another option is a credit option. As soon as the instructor post their regulations for an Audit pass grade instructor, the students will be instructed to exercise through an online portal. The instructor will declare the cut off for the audit pass-fail option, which is taking into account the COVID limitations.
The students who choose the early graduation option will take online tests take-home exams, assignments, for the credit option. As applicable they can also include telephonic viva-voice. For credit options, the grading policy procedure will be announced soon.
It is further mentioned in the notice that if in case any student is not able to complete early education regulations by the end of June with these options offered to them then the students will have a fallback option to graduate when the semester reconvenes. Moreover, this year the percentage of the pass and fail will be nearly the same as the last year.
